# Understanding credits and generation charges

Before generating, check the selected model, output settings, and credit cost shown in your workspace.

## Check your balance

1. Confirm that you are in the account and workspace used for your purchase.
2. Review your plan and available credits.
3. Compare a recent purchase confirmation with your current balance if something looks wrong.

Plan allowances, tool costs, and limits can change. Use [the current pricing page](https://akool.com/pricing?hsLang=en) and purchase details for your account.

## Failed tasks or unexpected deductions

Save the task ID, approximate time, displayed status, and a screenshot of the charge or error. Email [support@akool.com](mailto:support@akool.com) for a review before repeatedly resubmitting the same job.

The [Refund and Cancellation Policy](https://akool.com/refund-policy?hsLang=en) explains credit expiry, top-ups, failed-task credit returns, and refund conditions. A credit adjustment and a payment refund are different outcomes.
